Talk:Lay judge

I'm surprised there's no mention of why Finland has its present day system. Finland was an integral part of Sweden until 1809. Swedish laws ruled Finland as well, simply because Sweden was Finland and Sweden. Finland was the eastern part of Sweden. Strange to me. /17-04-20 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.63.0.108 (talk) 02:06, 19 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

"A person assisting a judge" edit

IMHO this is misleading at least for the situation in Germany. In courts, all judges have the same voting weight when it comes to passing judgements. There are some differences with regard to procedures (the presiding judge is always a professional judge), but there are no assisting and judges being assisted in a court. I believe this equality is quite an important point and the used phrase counteracts that. --Tim Landscheidt (talk) 18:22, 15 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
