Propose reinstating "Estate Agent" definition to Land steward

• Estate Agent was

added to Land steward on 18 January 2021 by Telecineguy;

• Rodw had also edited the page the same day;
• IIRC, I had edited the entry on 28 February 2021, replacing A with An. However that edit no longer appears in the edit history;
• Rodw then changed Gentleman Jack link to Land stewardship, which, if you read the article, isn't related to land steward as defined as Victorian era estate agent;
• Upon unlinking of land steward, estate agent edits I made to Gentleman Jack were

called into question, with additional edits by me to rectify the situation were subsequently reversed;

• I also attempted to link directly to Estate agent, which drew further scrutiny to my edits on Gentleman Jack;
• I was then forced to remove my original edit, linking land steward;
• Rodw Would you please explain why you changed the link on Gentleman Jack to land stewardship?
• Leschnei Would you please explain your reason to completely remove Estate Agent definition from the page after three of us – Telecineguy, Rodw, and I – were in agreement that Estate Agent, Victorian era definition should be included on the page?
• Would anyone (Nosebagbear perhaps) with admin rights please check the logs to see if my An edit previously existed and was subsequently removed/reversed?

I was attempting to edit the page to fit in with the purpose of disambiguation pages - to distinguish between easily confused article titles and direct readers to the Wikipedia page that they want. 'Estate agent' seemed sufficiently distinct to not require disambiguation. If you feel that Estate agent needs to be included on this page, I won't argue, but you should follow the guidelines for DAB pages: a single 'blue link' to the relevant page with a short description and no external links. All of the detail should go in the linked article, not on the navigation page. Leschnei (talk) 12:51, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

On 5 March 2021 with this edit I changed [[Land steward|land steward]] to [[Land stewardship|land steward]] as Land steward points to a disambiguation page and Land stewardship seemed more appropriate than Environmental stewardship in the context of the article. If you wanted to add "Estate agent" to the dab page at Land steward with an explanation that it was the term in Victorian England, then that may help - although I note this was removed on 3 March 2021.— Rod ^talk 13:30, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

My only edit to Land steward was this edit disambiguating Victorian to Victorian era. It would be best to avoid linking to disambiguation pages (see Wikipedia:Disambiguation).— Rod ^talk 13:35, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
