Two other villages with same name
editIn Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province there is a Krotoszyn 1 km south of Barcin and another one 18 km northeast of Radziejo′w. Some Polish village names have dozens of duplicates all over the country.

Not lang-yi קארטשין kortshin. That is Korczyn
editThe thriving (and very rich) Jewish Shtetl (town) known as קארטשין home of Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Rubin who's son Menachem Mendel headed Kolel Galicia in the old city of Jerusalem was Korczyna, Podkarpackie Voivodeship then spelled Korczyn.
The claim that this is Yiddish Kortshin (קארטשין) home to the two rival and different rabbinical Rubin families, seems to be a mistake made on edit 643459552 by @Clerk22 Clerk22.
There was a printing house in a town called Karotoshin קארוטושין where the Jerusalem Talmud was printed (in Hebrew leterset) possibly this town. But the vowel letter vav (wow, spelling the vowel o) is part of the name unlike Clerk22's claim. פשוט pashute ♫ (talk) 19:01, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
- OK no. The Krotoschyn edition of 1842 and the 1838 edition were definitely not קארטשין Korczyn, but Krotoszyn - Krotoschin so correcting the Yiddish to the way it is written in the local printhouse קראטאשין.
