Since its been 6 months and the promised temporary roof repairs have still not progressed a single inch, should we include a small section mentioning current criticism of the government and the museum staff by locals and third parties about not keeping their promise and not hiring a contractor to help with the repairs ? Believe me, a lot of criticisms have cropped up in the last few months, even though the government is constantly ignoring them or giving false reassurances, while the castle faces a risk of becoming easy pray for the snow and frost during the upcoming winter (the elements could only further the damage, since the current makeshift roofing is flat and made to handle rain, but not anything more heavier). In the same section, we could also mention what financial and material precautions were already taken. Then we could include the criticism of the rather idle response to the need for repairs by the responsible authorities. And of course, since the article is still rather stubby, we could mention what exhibits and important artefacts Krásna Hôrka housed prior to the fire (and will hopefully house them after it as well). Just my two cents. --ZemplinTemplar (talk) 11:50, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I quite agree. Any maybe under the "Reconstruction" section. --WhiteWriterspeaks 11:55, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have no objections. Please stay neutral and don't forget to use reliable sources, ZemplinTemplar. Thanks for your interest in the article. --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 14:56, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

We should find image of this poor castle after the fire. That is the only way to update current situation about it. --WhiteWriterspeaks 12:20, 18 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

2012 Fire controversy

edit

I removed the word 'gypsy' from the description of the children alleged to have accidentally started a grass fire in the area of the castle. As of March 2012 there is some controversy over how the castle caught fire, as evidenced by a report by František Kostlán on the Romea.cz web site. It is recommended that the section be updated as and when more is known about the verifiable facts of the case. Fourcultures (talk) 12:37, 19 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

The information about the alleged participation of Romani people in the incident spread over the Internet faster than the fire in the castle. It is what many people here (Czecho/Slovakia) like to hear. Romani people (oh, nobody calls them Romani, just Gypsies) are 'not very popular' (sarcasm intended) in the Central/Eastern Europe. Their participation in the Krásna Hôrka incident is discussed in some Czech and Slovak media and it could be in my opinion mentioned in our article (of course, in a neutral way). According to the TV JOJ: "...the inhabitants of the Romani settlement fear the revenge of the inhabitants of Krásnohorské Podhradie. The men in the Romani settlement spent sleepless night and were ready to defend themselves, however, no attack happened that night. On Monday after the fire, the Romani children didn't come to school. Situation in the village is tense, stated local director of the school." I just tried putting in a neutral mention of the Romani allegations, feel free to edit or delete as you see fit. Florestanová (talk) 01:48, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
