Kintaro's Weight and Height

edit

When was Kintaro 288 pounds. If that was supposed to be an estimate, then whoever thought of that needs help. --72.136.254.105 20:24, 5 May 2006

Every characters height and weight should be deleted, unless it was stated by Midway or put in a game; like MK:DA. - MiNeOuT

  • True, along with their age. Kintaro should not be stated as "presumably around the same as Goro", that doesn't really fit an encyclopedia. Sheeva's age isn't even mentioned, so I don't know why this article can't follow suit. Goroliath

Couldn't it be said that Goro and Kintaro are about equal height. That is easily prooven just by looking at the character roster picture for Armegeddon. 24.91.155.84 14:19, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
- "About equal" does not equal equal. Minty Fresh Death 21:06, 24 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Problem

edit

Couple problems in this article. For one thing, all characters are not 'digitally resized to the same height,' in fact quite the opposite, if they wanted their tigerman to be tall, they could have -made- him tall like they did with shao kahn. Secondly, a lot of other characters haven't appeared in the movies. Stryker and Kabal stand out in my mind.

On the second item, Stryker and Kabal weren't in the first two games, which is the point of that trivia item. EVula // talk // // 15:17, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Trivia removed

edit

Trivia should pertain to information about the character of Kintaro; game appearances and coincidences are paltry, irrelevant facts that contribute nothing to the layperson's understanding of Kintaro. Name info moved to About Kintaro. AtenRa 12:39, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Just so I can be sure we're on the same page here, you are aware Kintaro was a stop-motion puppet, right? He is not a real person, or shokan, or whatever.
Therefore, trivia and interesting information about the design of the character, including the addition of tiger stripes and the use of armor from a Ninja Turtles figure, would be relevant as it would pertain to a real-life description, rather than an in-universe description which an encyclopedia should not be encouraging.
Adding that piece of trivia gave the article a basis in reality, a characteristic severely lacking in many Wikipedia entries of fictional works. I don't believe it did any harm and I am interested in what others feel about it. Justin The Claw 04:19, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hard?

edit

I remember a trick to beat him which consisted in letting him stomp you in a corner, to then just lower punch away his health as he was cornered, as easy as that. Thanks to poor coding, Kintaro was actually the easiest boss ever thanks to this exploit.
