I've removed all uncited information now. The West Australian reference mentions Fred Chaney, Michael Chaney and Fred Chaney Sr., but not John Chaney or her mother. Steelkamp (talk) 08:26, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

A number of new Members will be in the next Parliament. They won’t be included at this website until after the poll is formally finalised in each of the respective electoral Divisions. Hi @Hoprex, and welcome to Wikipedia! I just reverted your edits to this article. The electionnumbers were already there, the link to her website is in the infobox on the right, "See also" is for links to WP-articles, and WP:ABOUTSELF. About Commons, you don't have the right to claim that other peoples pics are " Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International". If that was the fact, her website would have stated it, but it doesn't. Copyright rules are annoying, but it's how it is.

@Hoprex Thanks for replying. IMO, this is too much per WP:ABOUTSELF/WP:BLPSELFPUB #1 , but pluspoints for avoiding WP:COPYPASTE. We should wait for independent sources on this (education/career), and in the meantime, people can read her webpage. See also WP:BLPNAME on including names of family. I think the sourcing is fine as there is also a newspaper source there which shows most of those claims there to be correct. I agree with the concerns about WP:BLPNAME so I have fixed that. I noticed that the information that was added was very closely paraphrased from the website so I changed that as well. The page looks fine to me now. Steelkamp (talk) 04:20, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

I guess that's as close as we get, afaict this was private sector, so Department of Aboriginal Affairs doesn't seem to fit. I was hoping for something more specific, but I don't know what Aboriginal Affairs at Wesfarmers may involve. Perhaps Closing the Gap is related. Or Reconciliation in Australia. It could be Wesfarmers' Reconciliation Action Plan, but a search for "Kate Chaney" on Wesfarmers web site returns no hits for her. (I haven't checked all the individual reports.) Mitch Ames (talk) 08:47, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

I'm not sure where the confusion stems from here: Steelkamp linked to the obvious place for a wikilink if there was any doubt about what that meant (essentially, a manager responsible for issues related to Aboriginal people). The specificities of her job description are probably unsourceable and unencyclopedic, and given the size and breadth of Wesfarmers' operations it seems extremely likely it was multifaceted and not easily pinned down to some hyperspecific topic. (The Department of Aboriginal Affairs is irrelevant in a corporate job that had nothing to do with it, and then it seems we're just linking random topics related to Aboriginal issues.) I don't know that there's confusion, but I thought it was interesting that a private company had an Aboriginal affairs manager, and wanted a good wikilink to something like Aboriginal affairs in the Australian private sector or as close as possible. Not legally, not encouraged in any official sense, though many may think it in their commercial/PR interests to do so (but what that is would be completely different depending on the company). A common feature of this may be a Reconciliation Action Plan (which should have its own article and absolutely not redirect to a tangentially related organisation), but that's unlikely to be of overwhelming significance to any given company's work in the area, and is completely irrelevant to Chaney's history (even if she had developed one there, that wouldn't be notable enough for her article). Inclusion on Chaney page
