References for Karl Beattie edit

Novice - apologies - don't know how to reference sources properly yet! http://travel.discovery.com/tv/most-haunted/live-US/bios/karl-beattie.html http://www.antixproductions.com/biogs_karl.htm and http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/78/78817_the_stockport_samurai.html Thanks, Pippin Sadler 82.45.23.176 23:32, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

POV issue edit

Long story short: There are no samurai. Noone can be awarded a "samuraiship" for the Samurai was abolished permanently in 1870's. There are no honorary samurai-titles left. Karl Beatties claim of being a samurai is inaccurate and I can attest he is a laughingstock at many martial arts communities (though that of course has no place either in the article). 83.255.65.239 17:41, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Since that is no longer in the article, I'm removing the tag - doing tag cleanup. It can of course be returned and commented if there is cause.Jjdon (talk) 20:17, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Changes by user 82.69.74.207 edit

I have reverted the change to the article by user 82.69.74.207. The same user reverted the "claimed to be" section to "rumoured" and claimed Karl Beattie has denied being quoted as saying he was a samurai, in other words making it say Karl Beattie did NOT claim to be a living samurai eventhough in this external source (included in the article too) he is specifically said to have done just that. User 82.69.74.207 never included a source for his "rumoured" and denial claims so I've changed it back. 83.253.32.171 (talk) 16:21, 29 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Slanderous comments edit

This page has become less biography and more baseless allegations of fakery without source. I've cleaned up the article 95.150.124.217 (talk) 21:31, 27 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
