Template edit

The template used in this article - {{Template:Rail in wellington}} is not used on any other article. We should either standardise the other four lines on this template, or remove the Rail in wellington one. My preference is to remove the Rail in wellington template, mainly because we already use the standard {{Infobox rail line}} on all the other articles except this one. --Lholden (talk) 06:16, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:TranzMetroLogo.png edit

The image Image:TranzMetroLogo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Move article to Kapiti Line edit

Since the new time table is now in operation, it's timely we move this article to its now home. Thoughts? --LJ Holden 03:41, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Agree - the service is now referred to as the Kapiti Line by both Tranz Metro and Metlink and its renaming to Kapiti Line would be consistent with the similar article on the Hutt Valley Line.
BTW, the route number PPL was added to the infobox as that was the code used by Metlink to refer to the Paraparaumu service. This has since changed, obviously, with the renaming of the service to Kapiti Line with the new code being KPL. As the "route number" parameter for the Rail Line infobox is described thus: "Route number(s) indicated in timetables to identify the stretch of track" and these codes are used prominently on the Metlink website (particularly the timetables), it is entirely appropriate to include them in the infobox. — Matthew25187 (talk) 10:14, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

S-line template edit

Needs to be updated to "Kapiti Line". I've manually edited a few stations but realised it was causing the template to break. Does anyone know of someone who can edit it? The template itself is locked. --LJ Holden 20:45, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
