  • Oppose. KHMT has other uses. All of the links currently point to the correct article. KHMT should be a dab. The correct form to dab the station is KHMT (TV). Vegaswikian 06:29, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:KHMT logo.gif edit

Image:KHMT logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Rationale for deletion of disambiguation page edit

Per the WP:Disambig page, "If only a primary topic and one other topic require disambiguation, then disambiguation links are sufficient, and a disambiguation page is unnecessary." Since the television station call letters are the primary identification and the ICAO code reference to an airport is a secondary identification, a hat note is sufficient and requires no more steps than would a disambiguation page for people seeking the airport. It's not about which subject is more famous, just that the television station is primarily identified by this name while the airport is primarily identified by its full name with the ICAO code only a secondary reference to that airport. - Dravecky (talk) 05:39, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to move pre-1993 history to KSVI edit

The 1993 move of ABC from channel 4 to channel 6 is almost identical to how Knoxville’s WTVK moved to channel 8 as WKXT-TV, now WVLT-TV. Also similar to how KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls moved from channel 5 to channel 42. I believe it would be more accurate to say t KSVI signed on in 1980 on channel 4 and moved to channel 6 in 1993, while KHMT is basically a new station that signed on in 1985.
