Who wrote this article? edit

I was wondering if the person who wrote this article would mind identifying himself or herself. I don’t mean your name, but rather what prompted you to write it. Are you a movie fan? A former teenage fan of Mr. Taylor? A personal acquaintance of his? I just ask out of curiosity. Wikipedia is an absolutely invaluable source of information that makes information such as this available that would never be included in traditional encyclopedias. Rarely have I searched for information on anyone who had once been even marginally prominent and failed to find a Wikipedia article on him or her. So I was wondering what prompts people to write articles on a subject such as this, whose name has probably been long since forgotten by most who would recognize it in the first place.

Please don’t misunderstand me. I certainly agree that Mr. Taylor merits an article, and I don’t have the slightest objection. He had been an extraordinarily talented child actor. His performance in Damien: Omen II was exceptional and rivals that of the adult actor Al Pacino’s characterization of Michael Corleone in The Godfather; i.e., his superb representation of his character’s metamorphosis from a straight arrow into a ruthless organized crime boss.

Likewise, Mr. Taylor’s performance as Damien transformed what would have been just another genre sequel into something truly superlative. He actually made Satan’s son an object of sympathy at first, when the child discovers who he really is: the feelings of pain and isolation such engenderes within him. For Mr. Taylor to have actually made the presentation of the Antichrist poignant is indeed remarkable, as likewise was his presentation of Damien’s eventual acceptance of and pride in being his diabolic father’s son, becoming as ruthless as Mr. Pacino's character in the process.

I’m certain Mr. Taylor is as exceptional a lawyer as he had been an actor, and I’m certain all wish him well within his chosen career and within his life. I hope he or someone close to him will one day discover this article and expand upon it, adding information such as why had his parnets been living in Brazil at the time of his birth, what prompted him to enter and leave acting, and some information about his personal life since leaving the field, such as whether he married and has children. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HistoryBuff14 (talkcontribs) 19:15, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
