Opening comment edit

The Categories all turn up on their pages under K for Kidd, but with the description Frederick Heath. -- Beardo 03:08, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

The text suggests that Johnny Kidd achieved worldwide fame "mainly for the song Shakin All Over", but the wiki article about this song states that it didn't have much impact outside the UK and Europe until it was covered by other bands.212.62.26.100 (talk) 09:13, 21 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. He's obscure at best outside of the UK, never having had any kind of international hit as a performer. 74.12.29.48 (talk) 20:23, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Page name edit

I think this page should be at Johnny Kidd (singer). When I have a little more time, I'll do the formal RM. -- Beardo 12:46, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Johnny Kidd (singer)Johnny Kidd – The singer is the main topic, the wrestler is possibly even named after the singer. E-Kartoffel (talk) 13:06, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

DoB edit

I have a conflicting DoB of 1929. Do we have a good source or sources for 1935? All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 21:36, 5 July 2016 (UTC).Reply

His memorial stone here, for one. Also Allmusic. But did you mean that some sources state 1939, rather than 1929? Some do indeed state 1939 - this and this, for example. However, his official death record gives his age at death as 30, which also indicates a 1935 (or 36) birth. I'll leave it up to you as to which source to use. What? No Adam Ant? edit

Surely, in the legacy section, Adam and the Ants have earned a footnote. They full on dressed in pirate attire, with slightly modern touches; in concert, on album sleeves, and in music videos! Johnny's influence is much more obvious on them, than say, Alice Cooper. Food for thought. 73.66.156.81 (talk) 02:08, 13 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
