Indoor cycling from 1897 described using a verb "spin".

I am afraid that the current article little bit misleads into thinking that there was no indoor cycling / indoor cycling training before Johnny G. "invented" it. It even implicates that Johnny G. coined the "spin" with indoor cycling: "inventor of the worldwide indoor cycling program called Spinning" - first paragraph / "Johnny G – The father of Spinning" - reference to a biased article published by involved company.

That is obviously a lie as there are tons of proofs (even though hard to find at first) proving otherwise. For example the image here[1] clearly proves existence of indoor cycling that was described using the verb "spin" in 1897 (almost century before Johnny G. claimed it for himself!).

I can add lot of other proofs that "Spin"/"Spinning" was used in connection to cycling on request... But the one above I consider as "hard proof". --Elixon (talk) 21:37, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
