He bought all those shares of Bear Stearns that are now worthless. Sucker! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.88.171.47 (talk) 10:57, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I worked for the dude late 2007 as the IT guy at his mansion in southern Argentina. I was once working in his office while he was there when I thought he had a few seconds to exchange a few words with him; being the geek that I am I asked his opinion about "the dot coms", to which he rudely replied "i have no idea what you are talking about".. so I said "google, FACEBOOK.." (facebook was growing exponentially at that point and Microsoft had recently acquired 1.6% of it for $240 million dollars, meaning the company was thought to be worth around 15 Big ones.. pre-IPO!).. he immediately looked away and instructed his private secretary to "explain MY_NAME I cannot be interrupted".. I said nothing and continued doing my job. He then went on to lose a billion on his Bear Sterns deal (how come he didn't see it coming?) and Facebook went on to become the 4th most requested site on the Internet with off-the-charts projections.. Well, the dude gambles on NFL games.. so he may still win around there. =) Oh, and if you are reading this Mr. Lewis.. What you do you think about Wikipedia? =) Cheers everyone; life is awesome. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.114.180.47 (talk) 02:09, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

His Bear Sterns losses edit

I think the buyout was changed to $10/share, reducing his losses a little. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=88952678

Both prices, $2 and $10, are probably faked, to make it look as though Bear is not
completely bust. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.5.71 (talk) 12:39, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reliability of sources and BLP violations edit

I've removed one line from the section on Escondido Lake and controversy as it was not sourced and was a clear BLP violation (due to the many corrupt friends of Lewis in the area). Having reviewed the sources used, I'm not sure http://www.cholilaonline.com is a reliable source? Seems more like a heavily biased site written in provocative language with little reference to sourced facts. From the tone of the section and the removed comment, I suspect some biased editing has been happening here. Bertcocaine (talk) 21:40, 18 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Revision to Property section edit

I work for Rubenstein and on behalf of Tavistock, I'm proposing the following revisions to this article.

The Tavistock Cup mentioned in the Property section is no longer active. I would like to make the following edits to the first sentence in that section.

  • Change "hosts" to "hosted"
  • After "March" add: from 2004 through 2013 [1][2]
  • Change "four clubs" to "six clubs" [3]
  • Change "compete" to "competed"

Nina, thanks for contacting! Done that. Perhaps you can help with a recent issue here. Does Mr Lewis, or any company, foundation etc connected with him, own the original Charging Bull statue in Wall Street, or just others from the edition? Cheers, Johnbod (talk) 21:24, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Furlough of Tottenham staff. edit

The comment suggesting that he was severely criticised for furloughing 550 THFC staff is inaccurate. THFC have a total of 550 non-playing staff, some of whom (number unknown) were furloughed. This comment suggests that allItalic text the non-playing staff were furloughed. 46.7.195.132 (talk) 10:02, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
