editSome other notable items about Joe:
- Has run something like over 40 marathons (I believe?)
- He currently teaches running classes at the University of Oregon, and also coaches his marathon training teams (of which, I am a member of). He is quite notable as a coach and an inspiration (via his many, many articles and books). Jgw 17:44, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
