The page is up for deletion in part because of "coverage mostly limited to local news and first-party sources. No significant coverage in independent sources." Yet, six of the eleven sources cited are not first person, and at least two are very well established: (Consequence of Sound has been publishing for over a decade and is considered a top music criticism publication, and of course Writer's Digest is the premier writer's magazine in print and online). Also, the subject is represented in another approved page, one for the band Keep Shelly In Athens. Jessica Bell is an established person in both international independent publishing and independent music and, in those circles, is not "not notable."

As for "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject," I disclose that connection on my own User page in accordance with Wikipedia's own Terms of Use.

Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to defend this page. Mattselznick (talk) 04:48, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Mattselznick: That's not how it works, Matt. Go to the AfD page for the article. You ask money to write articles here yet you're not familiar with the system and Wiki's article requirements? Amazing. Yintan  13:56, 12 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
If it wasn't for this discussion, I would have put the article up for a speedy deletion, due to the reasons mentioned above by Yintan. User:Zapacit 01:58, 13 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Yintan: Already done, Yintan, but thanks for the suggestion. It's appreciated. Mattselznick (talk) 01:59, 13 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

I am the subject of this page. I would like someone to please add the following information to include more significant independent sources:

Jessica Bell is an award-winning author, writing and publishing coach, and graphic designer. In addition to having published a memoir, four novels, three poetry collections, and her bestselling Writing in a Nutshell series, she has been featured in a variety of publications and ABC Radio National shows such as Writer's Digest [1], Publisher's Weekly [2], Mamam!a [3], Life Matters [4], and Poetica [5].

She is also the Publisher of Vine Leaves Press [6], CEO of Independent Publishing Assistance [7], a voice-over actor, and the coordinator of the Writing Day Workshops [8].

In October 2016, she became the new lead singer of the well-known dream-pop group, Keep Shelly In Athens [9], and records and performs as a solo artist under the name BRUNO [10]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.58.135.41 (talk) 17:25, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jessica. About half these sources aren't acceptable, I'm afraid. They are not independent. There's more about this at WP:SOURCE. Yintan  14:01, 12 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hi Jessica, Yintan and stated, most of the sources shouldn't be used as sources. Reading this article, I find it very poorly written biased, with the sole intention of being on Wikipedia. I support the article deletion. User:Zapacit 01:52, 13 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Several of the sources are independent. Writer's Digest, Publisher's Weekly and ABC Radio for a start. Why has this page even been flagged? The subject is well known in publishing circles in Australia, UK and Greece. No brainer to keep the page. Pcdettman (talk) 15:07, 25 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
