- Please provide reliable sources which discuss Jayadewa in length such that a Wikipedia article could be written on him. Also, please note that WP:OSE is not a valid argument, and always remember to sign your comments. 舎利弗 (talk) 04:38, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
Original Research tag
editThis article has been tagged for Original research for two reasons:
- . It misidentifies Jayadewa. Jayadewa is identified in the LCI as Hwan Nyaka tuan Pailah (Lord Minister of Pailah), who represented "barja(di)"(?) the Commander in Chief of Tundun (pamegat senāpati di Tundun). This article claims that Jayadewah was himself the pamegat senāpati di Tundun - clearly not what the LCI text says.
- . It somehow makes the unsupported claim that Jayadewa married Buka, which is not in the text. The translation provided even mixes up Bukah's gender.
I will study these claims a little bit more before doing a final cleanup, but I'm leaving this here to explain why the OR Tag is present. - Alternativity (talk) 04:42, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Update: I started this cleanup by putting the lede in line with the english translation currently on the Laguna Copperplate Inscription page, taking it for granted that it contained the Postma translation, quoted directly by Ocampo in his book as the references in that page indicate. It appears I've been misled by the current LCI wiki page; the English translation there is significantly different from the 1992 Postma translation either as presented in Postma's paper, or in Ocampo's book. So, clearly, everything will now have to be re-examined based on changes in that page. (And updated given the later translations of Santos (1995) and Tiongson (2006), and any others that seem to be out there.) I'll stop editing here for now and come back when I'm able to do a more in-depth examination of the various translations. - Alternativity (talk) 06:08, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
