Different ways to vote? edit

Section Voting paper says there are three different ways to vote. This is not what the law says. The law, LEGGE 3 novembre 2017, n. 165, at article 1, paragraph 19, subparagraph b), only says

  • L'elettore ... esprime il voto tracciando con la matita sulla scheda un segno, comunque apposto, sul rettangolo contenente il contrassegno della lista e i nominativi dei candidati nel collegio plurinominale.

Translated, that means the vote is done by marking anywhere inside the rectangle containing the political list (party). The fact that the marking can be placed on the name of the person, or on the name of the party is inconsequential. Various articles in the press have mentioned two or three ways to vote, intending to explain to their readers that the marking can be placed in different parts of the paper ballot, but this does not mean that these are different ways to vote, since all will produce the same result. The way the Wikipedia section has been worded is confusing because it can easily be misinterpreted as if putting the sign in one place will be counted or apportioned differently than another.--Gciriani (talk) 20:33, 23 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Appropriate title and organization? edit

Since this is the primary page that talks about all the electoral laws of Italy's history, should the title be changed to represent this and the 2017 law be shifted into one of the sections? Bergmanucsd (talk) 00:39, 25 January 2019 (UTC)bergmanucsdReply

New law? edit

It seem the parliament is voting an electoral law reform for the reduction of the number of deputies, from 630 to 400, and senators, from 315 to 200, with 3/8 of each remaining on FPTP (roughly the same as previously). Should there be a new page, or should it be added there? Source : 1--Aréat (talk) 16:16, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Not Allocated Differently? edit

The article says "The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies did not differ in the way they allocated the proportional seats, both using the largest remainder method of allocating seats." However, it is my understanding that the Chamber of Deputies allocates seats proportionally on a National Basis, and the Senate allocates proportionally on a Regional Basis. Someone with more knowledge than me should consider changing this. 2606:A000:47C0:B400:5928:11B1:FB17:4260 (talk) 13:53, 10 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
