Flag edit

Doesn't the Ireland squad use the flag of the 4 provinces and not the ROI flag? If so shouldn't this page be changed to reflect this? Mattlore (talk) 21:31, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I see this dispute (a wider one than just wikipedia) is cropping up again.
Yes, the website and some of the merchandise, such as t-shirts, produced by the Australian Rugby League for the World Cup used and featured the tricolour of (the republic of) Ireland. Yes, the RLEF website also uses the tricolour.
No, the Irish jersey did not use the tricolour. Ever. Here is a RLI photo gallery featuring an Ireland jersey without the World Cup logo...and it uses the 4 province flag: http://rli.ie/galleries,8,Ireland-A-v-Scotland-A
On http://rli.ie/topic,77,0,Irish-Flag-on-shirts "RLI ADMIN" states: Folks, Since Kukri took over the Kit supply for the RLI we have only ever used the 4P´s flag on the right breast. To date we have not used the any other flag and any information other than that is entirely false. Regards RLI ADMIN. LunarLander // talk // 22:11, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Wolfhounds logo.jpg edit

Image:Wolfhounds logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
