Copyright Violation edit

From the very start in 2007, 90% of this page have been literally the same as (the current state of) the article on aviation-safety.net. It is not possible (for me) to see from when the latter's content dates, but they named their sources. I think that the article has to be rewritten from scratch. --Mopskatze (talk) 21:47, 24 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Rewrite started here EDIT: User:Mopskatze/Indian Airlines Flight 605/Temp, might even stay as it is now and be moved to the actual article. Criticism will be necessary. I guess that all the older versions need to be purged in order to remove the copyright infringement completely. --Mopskatze (talk) 04:26, 26 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
See also Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation/Aviation accident task force#Copyright violation (from ASN only?) in various articles --Mopskatze (talk) 18:29, 30 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
There is not much worth saving. While a couple extraneous sentences have been added that are not copyvios, the original article in 2007 is a copy of an Aviation Safety Network post that was in existence in 2005
I plan to cut back to a stub, and hope that someone picks up and create s a proper article.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 12:53, 20 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Flying experience with the A320 edit

The article states that one of the pilots had a "flying experience of 10,340 hours of which 7,176 hours were on the Airbus A320." A320 was launched commercially in 1988. How could anyone have over 7,000 hours of flying experience with it in 1990? This would mean flying an A320 about 10 hours each day continuously for two years. It does not seem real. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.20.227.158 (talk) 21:18, 6 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
