This page has been subjected to regular vandalism by overeager contributors who do not possess the most basic understanding that this page is meant to accurately record India's participation at the forthcoming Olympics. In terms of team sports, this accurate recording of information translates to recording the full official squad. Therefore, a hockey team consists of 16 players, and not 11. It does not matter if it turns out that someone in the squad of 16 will not play any match during the games. Similarly, a relay team consists of 5 and not 4[1]. However, a few people are not only ignorant about these basic concepts but are quite keen to flaunt that ignorance through making repeated edits on this page and changing the total number of participants who have qualified to the Olympics for India.
