Pneumonia misnomer?

edit

The definition of "pneumonia" is often described as a '... lung inflammation caused by a virus, bacteria or irritant.'[1]

Etymologically, the usage of "pneumonia" in idiopathic interstitial pneumonia is correct; the word "pneumonia" is derived from "pneumon" (lung) and the suffix "-ia" (condition).[2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shayno (talkcontribs) 17:12, 8 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Translation into English of original article in German

edit

I'd like to translate the original article from German into English to flesh out the talk. Since this is a major edit of the English page, my understanding is I need to bring it up on the talk page before proceeding. Any objections? Corneliariedl (talk) 23:48, 12 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
