IJmeer is Part of Markermeer
editIt should be made clear that the IJmeer is physically a part of the Markermeer. In fact, this isn't even a case where these are two lakes connected by a straight, but the IJmeer actually gets larger as it merges into the Markermeer. Where I'm from, we would not consider these two seperate, distinct bodies of water...--Criticalthinker (talk) 01:33, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- The description of the location in the second sentence of the opening paragraph appears to be translated from the Dutch wiki article, and it still wrong. As far as I can find, the Nes polder does not border the water. Looks like the bordering land on the northeast is not a polder, and has been there since at least the year 1000. We need a better description of the location. Perhaps simple mentioning Waterland unless this bordering land on the lake has unified proper name. Criticalthinker (talk) 23:40, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
