Notability?

edit

This has to be the most worthless thing I've seen on wikipedia. Isn't there a counterstrike article this could be a footnote under? 2602:30A:C7D7:F80:EDED:611D:BDBE:EA6F (talk) 20:46, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Late reply, but I want to say this for future reference. I don't think there's a page for IBUYPOWER or any of these players (if there was, this should definitely go under that article in it's current state). There's also significant coverage of this event, and it's probably the most covered non-tournament result event in CS:GO. There is still some articles being written on this event after the initial spike in popularity WP:PERSISTENCE, as it was once again brought up when ESL unbanned these players. Also, this event set a precedent for players caught match-fixing. I'll try to expand the article in the coming days.Lxxl (talk) 22:01, 27 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Title change

edit

I rewrote this article, made it more up to date. However, I think it should have a new title. The title, as it stands, is too "global", it is not the Counter-Strike matchfixing scandal. I personally would suggest either "North American Counter-Strike matchfixing scandal" (though this suggestion might also be too global, considering that there are potentially more than one CS matchfixing scandals in america. Maybe adding a date?) or "Team iBUYPOWER Counter-Strike matchfixing scandal".
