Research issues edit

In short:

  • Date when the park was established
  • Date when the park was renamed "Huangpu Park"
  • Corrobation of name "Bund Garden" vs. "Public Garden"

Name of the park edit

Maps and labels on postcards, e.g. as shown in [3] or [4], usually call the park "Public Garden". A photo of the park regulations sign from 1917 has the (descriptive) name "Public and Reserve Gardens". The name "Bund Garden" can be found in connection with the naming of Garden Bridge, however no direct historical sources so far. --Bluebird47

[5] answers all questions but the exact year of renaming. --Bluebird47

No chinese? edit

Don't they still ban chinese people? According to http://blogs.mcclatchydc.com/china/2008/03/no-dogs-and-chi.html? W33dscoper (talk) 04:41, 25 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
