Cuts, pastes, moves, and new content edit
A considerable amount of new content, and a little existing content (previously merged from here?) from Horowitz has been repeatedly pasted in here and reverted back to a redirect. The reverts have been done on the basis that these were cut'n'paste moves. Superficially this is true. However the content being pasted does not constitute the whole of Horowitz and consists mainly of content just recently (and IMO mistakenly) added to that article. A short discussion reached agreement (I believe, until further discussion says otherwise) that the new standalone article would be created here, minus the long list of people with that surname. So I am of the opinion that the new content added to Horowitz, then cut from there and pasted here, should be allowed to remain in this article. Horowitz should not be renamed/moved here and should remain as a set index list. The new content is the creation of a single author and I don't see any attribution problems with that author creating the content here instead. In the interests of avoiding an edit war, I'm not going to do anything just yet, but it might be best to expedite this to avoid further confusion and possible messiness from an editor who probably doesn't know which way to turn. - To be honest, I've ended up totally confused what started where in these articles. I'm happy to go along with a consensus of how to resolve these matters and end up with stable pages. Hopefully, it will help all this to digest the recently closed requested move at Talk:Horowitz. The creation of this separate "family" page and of "Horowitz (disambiguation)" has been discussed there as well. So we have a surname page, a family page and a disambiguation page, which appears to be the optimum at present. Rather than being a cut-and-paste page move, this is more of a WP:MERGE situation. The surname page remains as a set index while some of the information is merged into this "broad concept" article. P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 23:02, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
