About the Pictures

edit

if needed i can get a picture of the 1.3 l13a1 engine and also i have various jazz photos. question is do you guys think i should upload the l13a1 photo? since we will start runnign out of space and give this article the bloated/crowded feel.

I think the "modified" 1.4 VTEC picture should be changed to a stock one. I don't think an owner modified engine photo should be used to represent the L-Series. Even if it is just the intake and spark plug wires. It isn't the engine as Honda intended.

Also, it would be a good idea to post pictures with the other engine styles. The european engines are much different than the American ones. As long as it is next to the proper article segment, it shouldn't clutter the page much.

I would like to appreciate differences among different engines. For example: in what differ 1.2DSi and 1.3/1.4DSi? Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seppstefano (talkcontribs) 13:27, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

L15A1 VTEC

edit

Is the L15A1 VTEC first appeared in JDM Fit and Mobilio Spike in Sept 2002?--North wiki (talk) 22:36, 5 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Is "LDA (i-DSI +3 stage i-VTEC)" a lean burn engine?

edit

If it isn't then in fact none of the Civic Hybrids use lean-burn engines, although the Civic Hybrid page says otherwise. This L engine page doesn't mention e-vtec, which is how lean-burn worked with the 5th Civic VX, 6th gen HX and 1st gen Insight (with manual trans). I know the Civic hybrid has a special VTEC mode that reduces pumping losses when coasting, not lean-burn but coasting losses, so max power can go back into the battery when braking. So lean-burn with this LDA engine seems unlikely.

L15z9

edit

In the L15Z series, the L15Z9 engine is missing. It is currently used in the 2022 Honda WR-V (an lifted Fit, sold in the Indian and south American markets). It produces 120HP. I won't add it to the list now because I don't have any sources for the data (other than the engine inside my own car). 181.42.24.7 (talk) 00:59, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
