Potent Quotables

This is one of the most quotable episodes of the Simpsons EVER. Many are preserved on this page. To that end though, a great one, if memory serves, is missing. Doesn't Homer explain that "[he's] not a criminal, [he's] a patriot, like all those people [pause] in jail?". Could someone look that up? Non Curat Lex 08:16, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Good Article Status

I read the article and have decided that it is nearly a good article; there are still a few errors that need sorting out. The article's good qualities include coherent style, abundant references and the fact that someone who knows practically nothing about the Simpsons could get through it without question. However, there are a few grammatical mistakes, mostly in the first two paragraphs, most densely in the first. I'm a bit short of time at the moment, so if someone else would kindly reread those paragraphs and fix the mistakes, that would be wonderful. Controversy?

Yes there was, the scene was deleted from UK showings of the show, since Americans laughing about the IRA blowing up british civilians including babies is a little rich after 9-11 and all that's happened since. I edited the article to make reference to this scene, but it was deleted.82.27.51.182 (talk) 15:30, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Missing Scenes

imagery

Reading this article, and not having seen this television episode, I don't find anything further suited to requiring any non-free imagery as per the non-free content criteria. Thus far, and I'm certainly open to others' interpretations, there's no prose that needs to be illustrated by copyrighted material to be understandable or pertinent (that's not already wikilinked to another article). The NFCC require that any media be non-replaceable by libre content, to include text; WP:NFCC#8 requires that the media be necessary to the readers' understanding of the article. As I said above, I found no instances whereupon a copyrighted image would be required to understand any portion of this prose.

That being said, the image that was in this article, Image:Hvt18a.png, was deleted for these specific reasons as laid out at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2008 June 24#Image:Hvt18a.png. On the other hand, Image:Nighthawksreference.png suits the article (and specific section it's in) excellently. NY Times reference

I have a really distinct memory of an article in the NY Times that referred to this as the best episode, or perhaps the last line as the "best line ever" of the show. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I did a quick search on their website but didn't find anything.
