Emigrated to Canada? edit
It doesn't mention his career in Austria, but could he be this Hermann Gadner -https://skimuseum.ca/honoured-members/hermann-gadner/?
I also found this, which says the Gadner in the above link fled Austria after the Anschluss - https://archive.macleans.ca/article/1941/2/1/bend-zee-knees
The Catalan and French Wikipedia articles think these are the same person.
