Meaning of Name edit

I believe the meaning of the name Herøy is disputed when it comes to Herøy in Møre og Romsdal.

A discussion around the name is available here http://home.c2i.net/heroykystmuseum/ , and although the meaning proposed in Herøy, Nordland is one of the suggestions, Hørn would in my opinion be a more likely meaning as it also fits with how norse gods are considered as the meaning behind names other places nearby. -- Larsivi (talk) 12:04, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Keep in mind that the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. We can't insert our personal thoughts into the article, as that would constitute original research. We have to stick to what reliable, published sources say about the origin and meaning of the name.
