Vaud

edit

Bouquet was born a French-speaking peasant in a subject territory of Berne, now in the Canton of Vaud. Peasants in Berne were not citizens of Berne.

Father

edit

The article says: The son of a Swiss roadhouse owner. The Historical Dictionary of Switzerland, however, says: Probably son of Isaac Barthélémy, officer in the service of Sardinia, and Madeleine Rolaz. He was the nephew of Louis Bouquet, roadhouse owner in Rolle. 84.23.155.84 (talk) 13:57, 26 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
