Translation problems edit

Sorry to say, but it seems you have a rather inaccurate article here, maybe due of translation from the French article. I'm Dutch so I cannot rewrite this. Some remarks, (according to the French text):

  • married with Ixelles must be in Ixelles (a part of Brussels, he married Eugénie)
  • girl of … must be daughter of
  • in the french article he did not die forgotten, but according to his wish there were few people
  • Living room of architecture is not the translation of Salon d'architecture (see salon #3, in your English Wikipedia)
  • Firm of muds is in French ferme de boues, so farm of mud, whatever that is
  • Temple of the Church of the Museum must be Protestant Church (I don't see the museum in the French text)
  • avenue of the Rebirth must be Renaissance avenue, (in English you never translate that word)

In general: it doesn't seem wise to translate French names of streets in English, when you ask for the street of the Lame one (rue des Boiteux) they don't know where you want to go, it must be French or Dutch. Salix2 (talk) 00:31, 12 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
