arthropods? What about a generalization to (at least) invertebrates?
editA commercial dictionary mentions invertebrates. 67.86.73.252 (talk) 23:09, 14 April 2008 (UTC) Would anyone object to re-wording to:
- A hemocyte is a cell that plays a role in the immune system of an animal, usually Invertebrates. They may be found, for example, within the hemolymph of an arthropod.
So 199.111.182.160 added two sentences: "Hemocytyes are phagoctyes of invertebrates. They are ameboid like cells that ingest foreign material and help play a role in the immune system response.". Hence allow me to propose a blend of all of the above:
- A hemocyte is a cell that plays a role in the immune system of an animal, usually invertebrates. They may be found, for example, within the hemolymph of an arthropod. Hemocytyes are phagoctyes of invertebrates. They are ameboid like cells that ingest foreign material and help play a role in the immune system response to infection. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.86.73.252 (talk) 03:23, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Matheson had no "hemocytes"
editAltered the reference to Matheson's novel "I Am Legend" to the entry for the film, as the word does not appear in the novel or its wiki entry. Bustter (talk) 03:24, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Article lacks content
editThe article only has information on the Fruit fly & Mosquito hemocytes, it should add more info on what it does in other animals, if this will be what is in the article. General info on hemocytes is limited & should be increased, as the info on hemocytes across animals is limited to a single paragraph stretching just one line & 3 sentences. This article is a stub, so it should be lengthened. --Wiki43215 (talk) 02:36, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
