@DaxServer: The Hans India got it right, "Hanumakonda" is the official spelling. Both the GO and the official website spell it Hanumakonda district. However, Hanamkonda is also used widely (Telangana Today, NIE etc). -- Ab207 (talk) 13:14, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

The Census 2011 also used Hanamkonda. Its an incorrect transliteration of the Telugu word హనుమకొండ, albiet a widely used one. -- Ab207 (talk) 14:30, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
