Headphone Jack

edit

The HTC website incorrectly specifies a 3.5mm audio jack, which is the old, big audio jack. In fact, it should come with a 2.5mm jack. I have corrected the article thusly. Jgw (talk) 20:48, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is no way to reference this, but the phone comes out tomorrow in the UK. I went in to the Orange store in Oxford Street, London and they confirmed it. 81.141.58.137 (talk) 19:07, 19 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

New Picture

edit

I have added a picture of the T-Mobile G2 phone, which is a rebranding of the HTC Hero. The picture was taken by me and released under a Creative Commons licence. (unlike the current main pic). Alf Boggis (talk) 21:06, 5 August 2009 (UTC) Unfortunately that is not the HTC hero...anyone have a picture of the real deal with a friendly license?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.243.115.144 (talk) 04:39, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've added an image of the redesigned Hero for Sprint, using my phone as the model. Photographed and cleaned up in PS earlier this evening. Alvin P (talk) 07:24, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Change the dates in the first paragraph?

edit
The first paragraph states "will be released" or "expected to be released" [words similar in nature], however those dates have now passed,

and I know the HTC Hero is in full swing, with many owning it. I wouldn't want to make the decision, but I would like to submit the suggestion to change the words to "has been released" or similar.

Supported 3G frequencies

edit

Article as published describes the phone as supporting tri-band 3G (UMTS 900, 1700, 2100) - whereas HTC Product page specifies dual-band (900/2100 MHz). Is this a mistake? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.161.39.193 (talk) 01:54, 25 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it is only dual band (900/2100 MHz).

Also, there is now a 3rd version: the North American GSM version, currently sold by Telus in Canada, which supports UMTS 850/1900 MHz instead of 900/2100. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Qwavel (talkcontribs) 04:06, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

You are correct. HTC stated on their official twitter that the maximum size supported by the Hero should be 16GB. http://twitter.com/htc/status/7757559719. I will make this change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.199.17.69 (talk) 17:49, 18 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Infobox: sensors

edit

Strangely, AK8973 was listed separately for both the magnetic field sensor and orientation sensor. It seems, that there were two devices using the same hardware, or the same chip was made to have these two functions. Which is which, then? -Mardus /talk 00:44, 22 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
