Owner of Gunsite from '92 to 2000?

edit

What was the name of the party(-ies) to whom Col. Cooper sold Gunsite in 1992 and who owned the institute in the 1990s? 24.131.255.12 (talk) 02:38, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Agree -- this one should be addressed. 208.91.69.74 (talk) 20:06, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proper sources for this article

edit

While I appreciate the editor who added more about the history of the center, with references, please note that references to blogs or commentaries aren't valid sources. (The server posting the "Jeff's Commentaries" is down so I couldn't read them, but I suspect that they don't pass muster.) See WP:OR. Alcarillo 19:02, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orange/Gray School

edit

If they are two separate institutions then they should have separate articles. Alcarillo 19:02, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is difficult: The Gunsite operation, including Colonel Cooper's own house, the publishing operation and some of the rights to books written by Colonel Cooper were sold outright to the new owner. So that was everything. The (Orange) Gunsite operation changed hands, just like any other business, so it does not really merit a separate page. Plus, what there is to write about Gray Gunsite, or to cite about it, has been written on the page. That is not a great deal in terms of volume. Mutrah-Masqat (talk) 13:54, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Renaming Article?

edit

Now that it has been ten full years since the school was re-named Gunsite Academy, isn't about time this wiki article was re-named "Gunsite Academy" , and "Gunsite Training Center" becomes a re-direct? Trasel (talk) 00:01, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

This entire article seems to be sourced primarily to dvc.org.uk, a personal website of John Pate. The only other source citations (one each) are to frfrogspad.com, another personal website, and a deadurl to handgunsmag.com. --Lightbreather (talk) 19:38, 11 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
