New section edit

In the picture it looks like the man in coloured pants is trying to lift somebody up rather than him being choked.

Can you break someones neck with a guillotine choke, as seen in The Condemned? 20:34, 28 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.134.86.244 (talk)

You can, though once you have started to apply big pressure to the neck it would probably become a neck crank rather than a straight up guillotine which is when you squeeze the carotid arteries and cause loss of consciousness due to lack of blood to the brain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.15.160.98 (talk) 18:18, 28 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Legal in judo? edit

The article says the guillotine is taught in judo. But is it actually legal in tournaments because of the neck crank potential?--Razionale (talk) 13:36, 2 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
