Grethe IngmannGrethe and Jørgen Ingmann. I've read Grethe's article and there isn't a lot of coverage on her article. I think it is best for it to be merged into this article. Having 2-3 articles of the same subject isn't really necessary because Wikipedia is not a dictionary so there is no need for the duo members to have separate articles about themselves especially when there's a lack of sources or coverage regarding Grethe's career as a musician.Bleubeatle (talk) 11:25, 30 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

I can see why a merger would be appropriate as they did perform together as a duet. Although the reason given as "Wikipedia is not a dictionary" is incorrect in my opinion. The BLP articles are not classified as "dictionary stubs". The nutshell link even describes the in one sentence "One test is that an encyclopedia article's name can usually easily take many different equivalent forms, whereas a dictionary as a linguistic work is about the words in the title, and cannot usually be easily translated." Another thing worth noting is, if Grethe Ingmann's article is to be merged, then we should also consider Jørgen Ingmann's too; as there are two individual articles. I'm not 100% certain if these two also performed as solo artists at some stage in their careers, and that could be something worth investigating before carrying out a merger. In my opinion Grethes article could be merged. But Jørgen seem to have some notability beyond the one Eurovision performance and win. I also am wondering why Bleubeatle brings this up at a number of discussion boards instead of keeping it to one or maybe two. Bringing it up at numerous discussion boards make it harder to reach a proper consensus.--BabbaQ (talk) 13:23, 30 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
I think that is because the article is attached to 4 different projects, and it is seen to be courteous to inform the respective projects just in case they don't have "article alerts" on their watchlist. WesleyMouse 13:39, 30 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
I agree with that. I'll see if anyone else wants to place an input to towards this discussion. If there is no input within 2 days time then I'll close this and re-direct.Bleubeatle (talk) 06:01, 31 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Bluebeatle, as you were the nominator for this merge proposal should you really have closed down the discussion and carried out the redirect? I'm pretty much certain that such action is considered to be conflicting and very biased. Wesley Mouse 22:55, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
I'll undo it then. Bleubeatle (talk) 01:54, 12 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
