Preference on country or continent for "number of shows" in infobox

edit

Is there a preference on what is used for in regards to the countries or continents used on part for the "number of shows" in the infobox? There were a bit of back-and-forth edits, as most concert tour articles use the continent format - while there are others that don't use either and just use the total number of shows on that tour. Without any need of going into any edit warring over it, I would like to discuss and see what everyone thinks. Should we use the countries or the continents for the number of shows for the infobox, or should we just keep the total number of shows for the tour?

  • Numbers, as that seems to be the consistent theme throughout Wikipedia world tour articles nowadays. I don't mind using continents, but seen as Paul isn't touring very many countries throughout the respective continents, I think numbers is the better option here. • Numbers, or sometimes continents, appear to be the norm among concert tour articles, at least from the handful I looked at that have GA or FA status. I think numbers would be preferable here—it's simple and to the point, and the article's lead and body can provide the specifics on the continents/countries/cities/venues if a reader is looking for that information. —Matthew  / (talk) 22:44, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Numbers, It makes no sense to have individual countries when continents are usually used for counting the number of shows. I would say continents, but the infobox does not make any mention of using them for the number of shows, so I think numbers will have to suffice.
