Does "Sheen" as a plural of "shoe" qualify, or is that more broadly Scots? -- Jmabel | Talk 00:12, Nov 2, 2004 (UTC)

Slang?

edit

On Talk:Glasgow slang/delete the following were given as examples of "Glasgow slang": Eeejit= An idiot,Polis= The Police,A Piece= A Sandwitch, klatty= To be very very dirty.

None of them are slang. They are Scots. "Sheen" is the north east pronounciation of Scots. shuin plural of shae (shoe). In Glasgow (If it stiil exists) it would be pronounced (X-SAMPA) [SIn].
