Like, ..."he was the first guitarist to use this modification on a guitar" might be factual, but lack of authority gives it the appearance of urban myth. But how is this relevant to Gibson Byrdland? Are ALL known end-user modifications to a Byrdland to be included here?

With that in mind, I've removed and as a result, it has become part of his signature sound. Nugent gives his Byrdlands, and other Gibsons, a custom touch by removing the stock pickup selector switch knobs and installing Gretsch strap lock knobs which belongs in an article actually about The Nooje rather than a guitar he merely happens to own.
