"About 1.5 per cent of each crew are chosen to take part in the Generalstabslehrgang (general staff course)" "Crew" doesn't seem right, but I'm not sure what's meant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.26.11.74 (talk) 00:34, 8 November 2008 (UTC) Generalfeldmarchall (Field Marshal)Reply

That is totally wrong, to say it politely. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.95.205.128 (talk) 15:15, August 20, 2007 (UTC)

Soldat

edit

The 'Soldat' logo needs to be http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Soldat.png not http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Soldat.png

Could someone fix this, please.Avnas Ishtaroth (talk) 11:59, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wertung ?-----------

"To be promoted Stabsgefreiter a soldier requires at least four years of enlisted service and has had to be a soldier for three years. Soldiers may opt to sign long-term contracts as enlisted soldiers, but most enlisted soldiers serving long terms in fact applied for NCO careers but failed their training requirements and opted to serve their term as enlisted soldiers rathern than being released from service immediately."

I think this passage sounds like that every Stabsgefreiter is a Failed NCO which is surely not he Case. I think this shpould be corrected or better, removed ... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.29.132.4 (talk) 07:41, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is no more such a thing as the "Generalstab" or "Generalstabsdienst". That name was forbidden in 1945 and was renamed as "Führungsstab der Streitkräfte" (pretty much the same thing, but different name) 92.76.135.153 (talk) 00:24, 14 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Shoulder insignia

edit

The shoulder insignia of a lietenant is wrong. The picture shows the insignia of a lieutenant of the German Air Force, shown by the wings at the bottom of the insignia. Insignia of the German Army have no wings on them. Could someone change this pictur, please 79.224.42.167 (talk) 22:23, 23 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I just did that. And I updated rank insignia from the old 1970s green uniforms to current Flecktarn uniforms. ʘᴅoɾ (talk) 09:50, 11 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Anyone wearing the camouflage shoulder insignias better had a very good explanation, because they are not allowed. I recommend using the pictures of the german wikipedia, and maybe even adapting the layout of the article. --84.177.128.57 (talk) 22:25, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

The shoulder boards seem to have differently coloured bars at the bottom. What do these indicate? A particular specialisation or army group? --109.152.228.224 (talk) 20:34, 31 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
