Nancy Gabriel and Wanda Productions

According to this article in Campaign, Wanda Productions served as the film's production company, ENSAD served as the post-production company, and a woman named Nancy Gabriel served as the producer. The film's profile page on the Annecy film festival's official website however, does not list Wanda Productions or Nancy Gabriel. Rather, it simply lists ENSAD as the production company - someone named Fabienne Vansteenkiste is also mentioned. Since ENSAD is an abbreviation for École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs, the school that de Pins attended while making Geraldine, I have no problem in listing it as a production company in the infobox. School resources were clearly used in the making of the film, from start to finish, so the production / post-production distinction seems of little importance to me. How Gabriel and Wanda Productions fit into all of this however, is somewhat perplexing. The official website for Wanda Productions can be found here. While some of the clips contained on the site could probably be classified as short films, most seem to be commercials and music videos. The website's "About" page mentions "representing directors" and earning "accolades at all of the major advertising festivals". So it's unclear to me exactly what kind of a role this company played in the development and / or distribution of Geraldine. I've done some searching around online and have had no luck in finding any other sources that mention the company (or Gabriel) in relation to this film. However, I have found some websites clarifying that Gabriel is (or at least was) an employee of Wanda Productions. So whatever contributions Wanda Productions and Gabriel made to Geraldine, they must have done so acting together.

I haven't searched around much for info on Fabienne Vansteenkiste, but I believe that he is affiliated with ENSAD in some manner or another. Whether he should be credited as a producer on Geraldine, I don't know. He receives a generic "thank you" in the film's end credits, along with a handful of other individuals, none of whom are mentioned in either source. Unless more information on him, Gabriel, and Wanda Productions turns up, I may withhold mentioning any of them in this article (although I may also reconsider). --Jpcase (talk) 19:29, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

P.S. Now that I'm looking at the end credits again, I see that a company called DigiSon is credited with post-production. Neither Gabriel nor Wanda Productions show up in the end credits, although ENSAD does. --Jpcase (talk) 19:29, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

According to Google Chrome's automatic translation of this French language webpage [1], de Pins went on to make commercials for Wanda Productions. So perhaps Campaign got mixed up; or perhaps de Pins simply continued a professional relationship with the company after Geraldine. I have no idea. --Jpcase (talk) 19:02, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Oh, and I probably ought to have clarified earlier - Metronomic appears to be de Pins' own studio, that he founded, along with a handful of other filmmakers. Some sources have described it as a production company, others have described it as a distribution company. I haven't encountered any sources that link it to the production of Geraldine specifically though, so I've decided to solely list it as a distributor in the article's infobox. Whether Metronomic has *actually* ever handled distribution for Geraldine, and in what context, I have no idea. But the Annecy Film Festival source, which appears to be reliable, credits the studio with distribution for Geraldine, so I've decided to do so as well. --Jpcase (talk) 19:17, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
