editI find it very strange that this page can talk so much about Wallace and yet never mention he was a lifelong Democrat. My first suspicion was Liberal influence trying to retcon him as a Conservative. I have edited the title to include his party. Wasn't Wallace a Democrat?
editWasn't George Wallace a Democrat at this point in his career? How come there is not a single mention of the Democratic Party in this article? At this point in time, the Deep South was still strongly Democratic. It is misleading to leave his party affiliations out of this coverage... They have everything to do with this political history.
