additions and corrections edit

There were several omissions and also some needed corrections. I've tried to bring this list into accord with the list on imdb and the list in Alexander's book. Unless I hear an objection, I'm going to remove, in a few days, Natchez and Harbormaster from the list. No reference I can find says that Roddenberry's script titled Natchez was ever filmed, and the references for Harbormaster do not mention any episodes by Roddenberry. I noted that "Natchez" was sold, but probably never filmed, and removed Harbormaster, which is almost certainly a mistake, possibly for Harbor Command, for which Roddenberry did write one episode.

I plan to remove Bat Masterson, unless someone has information about it. The Alexander biography claims Roddenberry sold one script, titled "Pecos Shootdown", and gives a date. But Bat Masterson was not shown on that date, and none of the episodes near that date have that title, nor is Roddenberry credited with writing any of them. I bought the season one dvd, and it does not have that episode. Rick Norwood (talk) 23:18, 16 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the notes, as they're uncited and IMDB is about as unreliable as you can get for filmographies. I've inserted cite needed tags for the currently uncited rows. Miyagawa (talk) 11:40, 23 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
I've made a few more tweaks. I haven't found anything independent and reliable for Hotel de Paree, but The Impossible Has Happened (a newer unofficial Roddenberry biography) mentions briefly The Lawbreakers and Whiplash. However, I don't have direct page numbers to cite since I can only see a preview of the e-reader version online. Miyagawa (talk) 12:49, 23 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate your work on this article. Most of my information comes from watching the episodes on DVD and noting the credits at the end. A secondary source would be more reliable, but at this remove I doubt new secondary sources that do not go back to either the Alexander book or the on screen credits are unlikely to turn up, and there are a number of mistakes in the Alexander list. His work is probably as good as anyone could have done, but is based on archives which sometimes don't distinguish between what Roddenberry wrote, what he sold, what was actually filmed, and what was shown on the air -- four distinct categories. In that situation, the DVD credits seem to at least tell us what was shown on the air. How should I cite on air credits shown on a DVD? Rick Norwood (talk) 11:27, 24 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

There's a specific citation template you can use: Template:Cite AV media notes. However, I'm going to order a physical copy of The Impossible Has Happened now since it's come down in price, so I should be able to update those couple of uncited bits so far. If you've got something for Hotel de Paree, then that'll finish up the list. Miyagawa (talk) 11:25, 18 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I've got the book and have added those two cites. I haven't gone through the source page by page, but I will as I'll want to add anything I can to the other Roddenberry articles anyway. Thoughtfully, where it directly references other works, it's included a list of references. So if required I can jump over to those - but for the two cites I've added, it doesn't reference anything else. Miyagawa (talk) 08:41, 27 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
