... that Gea eff has the shortest scientific name of any spider species? Source: "Shortest scientific name—Gea eff Levi (Araneidae). This spider has only six characters in its name." doi:10.7717/peerj.3972: 11
ALT1: ... that a Capuchin friar was the first person to realize Gea eff was a new species of spider? Source: "The spiders from this region were identified by Fr. Chrysanthus. At least five species of Argiope occur in the Wau valley and its environs. These are A , aemula, A. picta, A. reinwardti, A . trifmciata and species “F”. The latter was judged by Fr. Chrysanthus to be a new species and, at the time of his death, was set aside for further study" doi:10.1111/j.1096-3642.1974.tb00796.x.: 146 and "We wish to acknowledge our deep debt of gratitude to Fr. Chrysanthus O.F.M" ibid.: 158 . [1] is more explicit about calling him of the Capuchin Order using "O.F.M. Cap." and also saying he lived at a monastery of the Capuchin Order
Comment: The image in the article is CC0 1.0 so could be used for the main page, but I'm not sure if the image is good enough quality for that. Including the image with the submission in case the reviewer thinks the hooks would be better with a (pictured) and image. Also I'm not sure if ALT0 need a wikilink to List of short species names or not, but figured I'd submit it with a link; reviewer can choose to remove it.
Overall: Article is new enough, long enough, well cited and neutral. QPQ done. I can't see plagiarism. The image is OK I think, but happy to leave its inclusion to promoter. I think ALT0 is the better DYK, and I like the inclusion of the second hyperlink. Cool article. Lajmmoore (talk) 17:35, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
