I am a longtime GasBuddy member who uses their site daily. I worked hard at getting a GasBuddy.com page live and I modeled it after the facebook.com, google, squidoo and twitter website pages. It is a good start and I would look forward to others contributing updates to the page. Thanks James — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.72.0.195 (talkcontribs) 20:00, 3 November 2009

Contents are not encyclopedic edit

Most of the page was taken from the company's own website and was presented in an advertisement like tone. Third party sources cited were either dead links or of questionable credibility. I removed contents that was basically a mirror of the company's own webpage and added tags that this article needs credible third party sources. Cantaloupe2 (talk) 14:30, 30 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, consider including a section on controversies or the like. There has been media coverage (Wirecutter, NYTimes) of the Gasbuddy app being the worst in terms of collecting large amounts of user data. 173.73.138.197 (talk) 20:13, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Need verifiable, reliable sources for history edit

The Crunchbase reference cited is like Wikipedia and can be edited by members of general pubic and it is dynamically changing. It is an unacceptable reference. Minnesota's official Secretary of State records say it was filed on April 6 2004 and April 4 2009 article from CBS News says "four years ago" from then while the questoinable user-editable Crunchbase profile says 2000. Naming convention, unacceptable sources edit

someone continue to change the name in lead to shortened name. Per WP:NCCORP, the first sentence of lead reads the full legal name. Also, we do not use crunchbase, because its a bunk source owing to that it can be edited by anyone and there's no fact checking in place.Cantaloupe2 (talk) 00:46, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not a Q&A site. If you're interested in asking publicly, maybe you can ask on Quora, or if you want to speak with someone from GasBuddy, they have a "Contact Support" link on their website. Zaurus (talk) 00:32, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
