All 14 of his victories claimed over the Western front were gained flying the Me 262 jet fighter and included six four-engine bombers and 10 P-51 fighters 14 = 6 + 10 ? PMG (talk) 10:01, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

What aircraft did he fly ?

It would be good to state what piston-engined aircraft he flew. Rcbutcher (talk) 01:12, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Unreliable sources tag

The article includes citations to:

  • Aces of the Luftwaffe website.
  • Luftwaffe 39-45 Historia website.
  • Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries website.

I tagged the article accordingly. K.e.coffman (talk) 08:14, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

Notability

Does not meet WP:SOLDIER & sig RS coverage not found link, just passing mentions and / or non RS militaria literature.

No de.wiki article exists. Did not hold a significant command and topped out as Captain. Successful completion of missions (sorties flown, # of enemy aircraft shot down, etc) is not part of SOLDIER. A MilHist RfC on this topic has failed to gain consensus in May of 2017:

Please also see a note at MilHist Talk Archives for background behind the redirect. In summary, per the outcome of the discussion at Notability:People on notability of Knight's Cross recipients: permalink, certain recipients were deemed non notable and WP:SOLDIER has been modified accordingly: diff. The articles of these recipients are being redirected to alphabetical lists.

For a relevant AfD on a German fighter ace of WW2, please see: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fritz Lüddecke, which closed as "Delete". K.e.coffman (talk) 04:47, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

This isn't person with 51 kills, its a person with OVER 100 kills (137, specifically) Thats like shooting down two entire Soviet regiments. There is a template linking pilots with 100+ kills, and those with 100+ kills are notable.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 22:36, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
Please also see Talk:Franz_Schall#Unreliable_sources_tag. That a Wikipedia template exists does not indicate that all of the people listed in it meet WP:N & WP:SIGCOV. K.e.coffman (talk) 22:40, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
