Is Frank still alive? A few years ago, his widow contacted me by e-mail.

Logie award

edit

Which year and category did he win a logie award? I can find no sources to confirm this. I went through every year listed here and couldn't find him anywhere on the list. No, you didn't search well. It was in TV Week. How long are young going to leave mistakes up on this page? You didn't try very hard! It was Best Current Affairs 1974. The program listed its reporting team after every program aired. In those early days the program was awarded to the reporting team contributing a submission of 5 film/reports. The reporter who contributed the most (Palmos 3.5) took home the award on behalf of the entire team, which was duly listed on Wikipedia.

Hi There, thank you for your discussion.
Frank was part of the channel 9 team that won the 1974 Logie for Best Current Affairs covering Cyclone Tracy. The Logie with his name on it is siting proudly in our living room. Lachy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lachlan Palmos (talkcontribs) 02:27, 19 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Frank has been deceased for several decades. His widow emailed me years ago.Douglaid (talk) 11:44, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
This is completely incorrect, i am friends with the family and have all of them on social media as well. He's still going strong in WA with family. As additional evidence, he was recently featured on an ABC Conversations broadcast on 11 July 2023. https://www.abc.net.au/radio/programs/conversations/frank-palmos-indonesia-vietnam-war-living-dangerously/102508574 27.96.192.15 (talk) 23:53, 14 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
