This is also called Bayerischer Jura or Oberpfälzer Jura - see de:Oberpfälzer Jura. I would add this information to the article, but I am not quite sure if it is synonymous with the whole range, or is part of it. This needs to be clarified.


"Oberpfälzer Jura" is only a part of it; Upper Palatinate part of Middle Franconian Jura (Mittlere Frankenalb in german) and this term is mainly used by tourism marketing. "Bayerischer Jura" isn't a geographical term and also not common. Its only a marketing term for tourism in a limited area. Other areas (northern parts) are f.e. "Fränkische Schweiz" and "Hersbrucker Schweiz" rsp. "Hersbrucker Alb". But "Franconian Jura" or in German Fränkische Alb, Frankenalb, Fränkischer Jura are names for whole of it.ManfredV (talk) 17:05, 19 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
