Name of father

The Venn database entry I have just added says his father's name was Richard: the George Gouldman he succeeded was not the father. This is confirmed by the revision in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (modern); amending the older DNB. Charles Matthews (talk) 20:31, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I actually started to do that and then had one of those moments of realizing I was wandering off without finishing what that had led me to Gouldman in the first place. Very much agree that Critici sacri is worth an article. Cynwolfe (talk) 13:17, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
